What method provides better waterproofing for the drainage slopes of refined oil storage tanks? We usually use bituminous sand, but it flows when heated in summer, which is neither neat nor environmentally friendly. Do anyone have any good methods?
The last time I saw it, the storage tanks were sealed with glue during inspection, and it worked very well! To put it simply, it can be very dangerous in summer when there is heat and leakage; sealing it with glue first and then applying asphalt would be great!
The drainage slopes of the storage tanks in our company are all cast with cement.
We use cement here, but it all cracked. The refinery uses the kind of waterproof material used on residential roofs, which is applied directly to the tank walls – it’s quite good
