Could everyone discuss the advantages and disadvantages of HYSYS, ASPEN, and PRO in practical use?

Let me start by saying that I have used all three of these software programs, but in the end I preferred HYSYS – its dynamic convergence feature truly helps to improve the convergence process, and its interface is also more user-friendly. PRO was the first one I used; this software is geared towards engineering applications and is not recommended for research-oriented tasks. ASPEN has a very academic feel; research questions are an excellent choice. In conclusion: The HYSYS software combines both engineering and academic approaches, which is really great. Just my opinion, hehe
I agree; Pro/II and Aspen Plus are more commonly used for engineering tasks. Pro/II is very user-friendly, with an intuitive setup, while Aspen Plus is cumbersome to use and follows strict rules. When dealing with actual problems, it’s always difficult to find what one needs due to the complicated procedures required for input and output； The advantage of Aspen Plus is that it offers a comprehensive set of physical property parameters, and the management of these parameters is also convenient. Additionally, some experiments in the Aspen Plus simulation laboratory are easier to conduct compared to Pro/II. Hysys is used less frequently; I’m not familiar with its input and output methods, so it’s hard to say what its advantages and disadvantages are
I prefer to use Pro; I’m used to it. Aspen is too complicated, and using pirated versions of Aspen is very uncomfortable :L As for HYSYS, I haven’t used it much yet
