How can the plate height of a regularly packed filler be determined?
You can refer to the data provided by the manufacturer: for 250Y plate-type trays, the theoretical number of plates is generally around 2, while for BX500 mesh-type tray packing, it is around 4. Then, based on the likely spraying density in your distillation process or whether the liquid vaporization is reasonable, you can determine whether to adjust the value upward or downward. The liquid distributor used with structured packing is very important; depending on how well it distributes the liquid, you can adjust the correction value accordingly. Additionally, the hydrophilicity of the material also affects the efficiency of distillation – if the material has low hydrophilicity, the value should be reduced slightly, while if it has high hydrophilicity, the value can be increased slightly. Wait.
More strictly, it can be calculated based on the physical properties and performance parameters of the fillers! BX and CY can be calculated using Sulzer’s formula! Have a professional company calculate the insurance amount!
On the 2nd floor, it was said that per meter of packing, there are 2 or 4 theoretical plates, right? What about the CY700 filler?
Filling material companies can generally only offer suggestions; the plate thickness for each specific application still has to be determined by the manufacturer itself!
