Items and standards for DC withstanding voltage qualification tests: Test item/Test standard/Test cycle: 1. Leakage current from the wire core to ground/The leakage current under a 5-minute voltage application should not be greater than that under a 1-minute voltage application/After maintenance. 2. No breakdown under 5-minute DC voltage application from the wire core to ground/4UN for 3–6 kV, 3UN for 10 kV, 2UN for 35–110 kV/Failure in preventive tests. Items and standards for AC withstanding voltage qualification test at 0.1 Hz: Test item/Test standard/Test cycle: 1. Leakage current from the wire core to ground/No increase after voltage application; no significant increase compared to the previous test/After maintenance. 2. No breakdown under 5-minute DC voltage application from the wire core to ground/2.5 UN/Failure in preventive tests
For 10KV cables at 26KV for 5 minutes, the leakage current must not exceed 50 microamps, and balance among the three phases is required. For 35KV cables, the leakage should not exceed 50 microamps within 5 minutes at a cost of 90,000; moreover, the three phases need to be balanced. The voltage tolerance must be a DC voltage. The new standards no longer allow for DC voltage testing, but our equipment is not capable of performing AC voltage testing either; we continue to use the aforementioned method.
Where is the basis for stating that the cables on the third floor do not need to undergo DC withstand voltage testing?
