Review of the domestic pure benzene market

On the 24th, the Asian pure benzene market continued to decline slightly. Negotiations for pure benzene in April are at $380–395 per ton FOB South Korea. No reports of a deal have been heard. Domestic petrochemical refineries continue to limit production and sales, serving mainly contract customers. Sinopec’s Beijing and Wuhan branches charge 3,700 yuan per ton for pure benzene, its Guangzhou branch charges 3,800 yuan per ton, while its Shanghai branch charges 3,600 yuan per ton. 　　In the spot market, the domestic northern and southern markets continue to show differences. The East China region is highly affected by external market trends; there is less demand from downstream buyers, which has led to a weakening market. Prices range between 3,350 and 3,400 yuan per ton. In North China, supply remains tight, and prices remain stable at 3,600 to 3,800 yuan per ton ； Market prices in South China remain stable at around 3,600–3,700 yuan per ton.
