What is the concept of maturation? Do both thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics undergo curing? What are the conditions and processes for maturation? Is there any information on this topic? Please share it :)

Regarding PE curing, has the PE been cured?
Curing, also known as setting, is the process of placing the already compounded film in an oven (curing chamber), where the main components of the polyurethane adhesive and the curing agent react and cross-link, while also interacting with the surface of the composite substrate. The main purpose of curing is to allow the primary component and the curing agent to react fully over a certain period of time, thereby achieving optimal composite strength ; Next is the removal of low-boiling residual solvents, such as ethyl acetate. Curing process for PA/PE dry composite films: The optimal curing temperature is 40°C with a curing time of 32 hours. Under this curing process, the various properties of the composite film meet the required standards, and the solvent residue level is in compliance with the upcoming **standards.

Based on my experience, I am aware of a curing process for EPE sheets, which is a step that takes place between foaming and laminating. The curing time varies depending on the temperature; it is mainly done to allow butane gas to evaporate, so that the dimensions of the laminated sheet remain stable. In fact, the curing process is quite simple – all that’s needed is to control the time properly. I’m not too familiar with other types of curing processes.
