The issue of determining an appropriate excess amount when purchasing bulk packing materials

When purchasing bulk packing materials, in order to avoid issues such as insufficient quantity due to manufacturing or installation problems, we usually order an extra amount as a buffer. I remember reading somewhere that this buffer amount is roughly 10% to 30%, but now I can’t find that information again. There shouldn’t be any information on this topic. You just need to subtract the amount used for installation and operation from the total purchase amount, and that will show you how much is left
Those working on the filling work on the 2nd floor should be aware of this issue. Generally, no relevant data is available, so we use a margin of about 5~10%.
Thank you all above, but I really seem to have seen it before – it wasn’t a book specifically on fillers; it was probably a book on towers or something similar, and it was mentioned briefly. But now that I’m trying to find it again, I can’t locate it. Do you have any other suggestions? Friends on the forum, please share your experiences again. Thank you
