Coal is used as a raw material to produce semi-water gas. Normally, the semi-water gas coming out of the washing tower goes directly into the gas storage tank. What is the difference between this process and the one in which the semi-water gas from the washing tower is desulfurized first before being sent to the gas storage tank? Please give me some guidance
The results will be quite different; cooling and dust removal first have the following advantages, for three reasons: 1. It allows the output capacity of the Roots pump to be increased, thereby raising the volume of air that can be pumped. 2. It can increase the operating cycle of the Roots pump and reduce the failure rate. 3. It can ensure the quality of the desulfurization liquid, improve desulfurization efficiency, and reduce the occurrence of tower blockages.
Both of these processes are used in production, but the requirement for desulfurization before the gas holder is that the resistance of the desulfurization system must be low. That is, the resistance of the desulfurization system must be maintained at a level that allows semi-water gas to enter the gas holder. Since the fans used for gas generation currently have a maximum pressure head of 0.05 MPa, this pressure head must be utilized to send semi-water gas to the gas holder. This limits the pressure drop of the desulfurization system. Therefore, ordinary small nitrogen fertilizer plants place desulfurization after the gas holder. Some medium-nitrogen fertilizer plants still place the semi-depleted material in front of the gas holder.
Desulfurization first followed by the use of a gas tank can prevent corrosion of the tank; desulfurization after using the gas tank may cause greater corrosion to it
We use the inlet tank before desulfurization, or we can desulfurize first and then use the inlet tank; in any case, both methods are feasible
