What gas is used for pressure testing in the methanol synthesis section, and at which stages is pressure testing carried out?

There is a methanol synthesis unit that needs to be put into operation. The synthesis system requires pressure testing – should this be done using air, or with fresh gas after reduction? If air is used for testing, how much pressure can generally be applied? (Traditional process, synthesis system at 5.0 MPa) Will the entry of large amounts of fresh gas into the system have an impact if reduction occurs?
What to do if there is no high-pressure nitrogen? Low-pressure nitrogen does not meet the requirements for pressure testing; how can testing be carried out then?
If the device has just been installed, a hydrostatic test can be carried out. Once the device is put into operation, pressure testing of the system can be done using low-pressure nitrogen, with soap solution used for inspection; once it passes the test, medium-pressure nitrogen can be used along with soap solution for another inspection
