What are the effects of reducing prolonged empty burning?

Some time ago, due to issues with the recycling system, the reduction furnace ran idle for a day. Please discuss what the consequences of this were
Firstly, it wastes electricity; a long period of idle operation can lead to the formation of temperature rings. Additionally, it is important to keep an eye on the situation, as a long time of idle operation may cause the rods to fall over
It’s a waste of energy, and also the silicon rods are prone to falling over after you feed them again!:L

It wastes electrical energy and can lead to the formation of temperature gradients; however, running the furnace empty before shutting it down has many advantages – it helps to clean the materials inside the furnace better, and reduces the likelihood of silicon oil forming after shutdown
