What kind of oil is used in shock-proof pressure gauges? Sometimes it appears yellow, and sometimes it’s transparent.
Seismic pressure gauges, right? They’re used to minimize pointer vibration and ensure accurate readings!

I’m not sure if silicone oil is the right choice
Oil is filled in pressure gauges mainly to reduce vibration and minimize damage to the gauge. However, the type of oil to be used depends on the operating environment: silicone oil is generally used when dealing with media at normal temperatures; antioxidant and non-flammable oils are used in environments with oxygen; as for low-temperature environments, it’s not clear what type of oil should be used!
It is mainly used for shock absorption, to prevent excessive vibrations from damaging the pressure gauge or causing inaccurate readings; silicone oil should be used for this purpose.
Generally, silicone oil is transparent; its main function is to provide shock absorption and prevent damage to instruments caused by large pressure fluctuations. There is also glycerin-based fluid used for this purpose.
