I majored in chemical engineering and technology, and I work at a chlor-alkali company. I work the third shift in the caustic soda plant; I’ve been there for almost two years now. My tasks involve dealing with brine, liquid chlorine, and hydrogen chloride, and currently I’m working in the electrolysis section. I want to get a more specialized certificate to give myself an advantage; I’m not sure what would be suitable It seems that to take the exam to become a registered engineer, one needs to work in chemical engineering design, right?
It is very difficult to pass the exam for a certified public accountant in the chemical industry; one needs at least 5 years of work experience in fields related to chemical engineering design, as well as a bachelor’s degree.
