1. Pure oxygen is introduced into the converter; the pipe material is 304. What is the maximum operating temperature? 2. What accidents can occur when the temperature becomes extremely high? Are there any specific manufacturers where accidents have occurred?
Is it actually the oxygen pipeline or the conversion tube that is being asked about?
In ordinary pure oxygen pipelines, the maximum temperature should not exceed 200°C; otherwise, it causes significant corrosion to the pipeline.
The pure oxygen tube operates at around 200 degrees, while the conversion tube requires a much higher temperature, approximately 600 degrees
The design institute specified an oxygen temperature of 100 degrees; after mixing with steam at 400 degrees, it enters the oxygen nozzles in the converter to directly oxidize the gases.
Reply to floor 3: Oxygen will oxidize the inner wall of the pipeline, forming an oxide layer, which reduces the oxidation rate; it shouldn’t accelerate oxidation, right?
If the temperature of the pure oxygen pipeline is too high, it can cause significant corrosion to the pipeline; it is recommended to keep it below 150 degrees.
The design temperature specified by the design institute is 105 degrees (for 304 material), and after mixing with superheated steam, the temperature reaches around 200 degrees.
