Formulas for the geometric dimensions and mass of standard elliptical head shapes:Material diameter D0: D0 = 1.211(Di + δp) + 2h0
Mass G0: G0 = 6.165 × [1.211(Di + δp) + 2h0]² × δp × 10³
Internal surface area Fi: Fi = 1.048Di² + √Di × h0
Head mass G: G = 8.51 × [(Di + δp)² + 24.7 × (Di + δp) × h0] × δp × 10³
Volume V: V = 0.1309Di² + 0.785Di × h0
D0 – Diameter of the circle obtained after unfolding the head, in mm
Di – Diameter of the neutral layer of the head, in mm (inner diameter of the head + wall thickness, or outer diameter of the head – wall thickness)
h0 – Height of the straight edges of the head, in mm
δp – Thickness of the head, in mm
