PROE 4.0_M050 Simplified Chinese Official Version Installation Instructions: 1. Generate a license – open the ptc_licfile.dat file in the SHooTERS folder using Notepad, replace all occurrences of 00-00-00-00-00-00 with the local PTC host ID (network card address), and then save it； 2. Install PROE, specify the license server, select “Locked License File”, and then choose the license file generated in the second step ； Installation completed directly ； 3. Copy the ptc.pro engineer.wildfire.4.0.win32-patch.exe file from the SHooTERS folder to the \proeWildfire 4.0\i486_nt\obj directory within the installation location, and then run it there ； 4. Done, it can now be run. Boot up your PC with Windows. Start Pro/E setup. Open ptc_licfile.dat using your favorite text editor. Replace every occurrence of 00-00-00-00-00-00 with the value shown in the lower left corner of the Pro/E setup screen (it’s your MAC ID, in the format xx-xx-xx-xx-xx). Install Pro/E – either Pro/M or Pro/DS; it doesn’t matter which one or in what order. On the license-config screen, select “Nodelocked License” and point to the edited ptc_licfile.dat. Continue with the installation process for Pro/Engineer: if you didn’t install the complete package, you’ll encounter “missing file” errors; just accept them. Run ptc.pro_engineer.wildfire.4.0-patch.exe, and point it to the \i486_nt\obj folder. Edit \bin\proev.bat by changing “%start_cmd% ” to “%CGTECH_JRE%\bin\javaw” -Xms16m -Xmx64m -Xss4m -classpath “%CGTECH_CLASSES%;%CGTECH_CLASSES%\CGTech.jar”. Do the same for Vericut: change “%start_cmd% ” to “%CGTECH_JRE%\bin\javaw” -Xms16m -Xmx64m -Xss4m -classpath “%CGTECH_CLASSES%;%CGTECH_CLASSES%\CGTech.jar” Vericut %argstr% PTC_KEY=0” (add PTC_KEY=0). For Pro/Mechanica, run ptc.pro_mechanica.wildfire.4.0-patch.exe, and point it to \i486_nt\bin, \i486_nt\obj, and \i486_nt\ptc (in that order), handling any “missing file” errors that arise.
