May I ask: During fire drills, when simulated fire extinguishing operations are carried out, may personnel enter the fire dike to carry out fire extinguishing tasks?
Since it is a simulation exercise, which is essentially a real-world drill, it must be carried out on-site. However, it is necessary to obtain the approval of the leadership, and most importantly, all necessary preventive measures must be put in place to avoid any other problems arising from the exercise
It depends on the actual content of the plan you have prepared! I believe that, under normal circumstances, it is best not to enter the fire dike to carry out firefighting operations, as it is too dangerous, and an orderly and timely retreat may not be possible in case of an emergency.
It should be carried out in accordance with the fire extinguishing plan, so as to achieve the purpose of the drill.
Personally, I think it’s possible to enter the fire dike, but protection must be ensured!
People can enter the fire dike, but it is generally not allowed to have a source of fire inside it (this is the case here).
In my opinion, it is not appropriate to conduct simulated fire extinguishing drills inside the fire dike. The purpose of such drills is to enhance the safety awareness and skills of managers and employees. The fire dike represents a location where there is a high risk associated with production or storage activities; conducting drills in other locations can achieve the same results!
