Let's talk about where the filters of your methanol washing system are set, and what are they mainly filtering?
In the methanol washing system, solid matter from the upstream process and solid matter produced by corrosion in the system are removed by filtration. Two filters are set: One is the inlet filter of each pump in the system. The second is an independent filter.
Let me also talk about our settings here! We mainly set up two independent filters here: 1. There is a thermal regeneration tower kettle outlet, whose main purpose is to remove iron sulfide, nickel sulfide and some catalyst dust and carbon black brought from the upstream. 2. Set up at the outlet of the hydrogen sulfide concentration tower kettle. The master said that the main function of this is to remove ammonium salt crystallization!
In addition to the filters at the inlets of each pump, fine filters are installed in three places in some methanol washing devices! 1. The hydrogen sulfide concentration tower comes out through the feed pump outlet of the thermal regeneration tower. 2. The thermal regeneration refined methanol pump outlet of the thermal regeneration tower. 3. The water concentration section of the thermal regeneration tower passes through the methanol water tower feed pump outlet.
It doesn’t feel particularly important where the filter is! As long as the impurities in methanol can reach the standard! Just don’t bring impurities to the pump filter and affect the flow rate.

Also a reminder not to post duplicate posts! !
How can the filter at the outlet of the hydrogen sulfide concentration tower kettle filter ammonium bicarbonate crystals? What is the theoretical basis? First of all, the generation of ammonium bicarbonate is only possible in the thermal regeneration tower with higher temperature. It is mainly generated by the reaction between the ammonia present in the system and the desorbed carbon dioxide and water! How can ammonium bicarbonate be generated when the temperature in the hydrogen sulfide concentration tower is so low?
It is precisely because I don’t know what this filter filters that I asked about it, and I want to ask what other people filter when setting filters! The specific filtering needs to be explained by experts! :)
Shortly after the overhaul of Shaanxi Weihe Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. in 1999, it was discovered that the low-temperature methanol washing operation had deteriorated. The heat transfer effect of several winding heat exchangers decreased, the resistance increased, the methanol in the system turned black, the system circulation volume decreased, and the cooling capacity could not be balanced, and it could only maintain 50% to 60% of the load. Finally, an electron microscope was used to analyze the contaminants and the X-ray diffraction pattern was used to verify that the contaminants were iron sulfide (F e 3 s 4 ) particles, most of which had a particle size of 2 to 10 microns and were non-cohesive particles. The original 100 mesh, 60 mesh, and 20 micron filters in the system were powerless against these tiny particles. Later, an ultrafiltration filter was used to filter the contaminated methanol solution in the system, and achieved relatively good results. The cold area is equipped with two 10 micron filters in parallel with the original S1602, one for use and one for backup. The hot zone is equipped with a 7-micron filter in parallel with the original S1601 to partially filter the methanol solution. Weihe coalification is Linde technology! There are two filters in the Dalian Ligong process: one in the cold zone is located between the bottom of the H2S concentration tower and the solution pump of the heat removal regeneration tower, and the other is in the hot zone between the bottom of the heat regeneration tower and the lean methanol pump.
In our company, haha, we produce filtration equipment!
We enter the thermal regeneration tower after the feed pump of the thermal regeneration tower. The higher the temperature, the better the separation effect. The effect we are currently using is pretty good.
