Where do the pipelines need to have their diameter changed?
It’s not easy to answer this question. It’s probably the point where two pipes with different diameters are connected. Such connections are also used at the points where certain devices are connected to pipes. Additionally, eccentric reducers are used at the inlet of centrifugal pumps to prevent cavitation, with the flat end positioned upward. At the same time, the flow rate and pressure at the pump inlet can be reduced. Some pumps have outlets with tapered or enlarged designs, which helps to reduce the flow rate and thus the pipeline resistance, especially in long-distance transmission pipelines. 1. Inlets and outlets of the pump. 2. Points where the pipes branch off, to be determined based on specific requirements. 3. Locations where orifice plates need to be installed
As far as I can think of, situations where the diameter of a pipeline might need to change are: 1. Areas where there is a sudden change in the flow rate within the pipe, such as at points where there are side outlets or feedings. 2. Areas with different flow velocity requirements, such as when pipes connecting outside the tower enter the distribution tubes inside the tower, or from pipes connected to the tower to pipes outside the tower. 3. Areas where installation space is limited. 4. Situations where fluid flows from one main pipe into several branch pipes. 5. Special requirements related to process technology, such as the need for a sudden increase in flow rate or a sudden decrease in pressure within the pipe.
Some are designed due to the requirements of branch flow, some for the installation of flow meters, and some because of speed requirements. . . . . . . . .
It doesn’t matter, as long as it does not affect the measurement accuracy of the instruments and their ease of use.
