I have a question for everyone: Lubricant and grease at the lubrication points are supposed to be added regularly and in the correct amounts. So where does the consumed grease go? In some lubrication points, the area around them is very clean, with no signs of lubricant leakage. Furthermore, the imported vertical high-pressure pump motors used in our facility have been operating continuously and stably for seven years without any lubricant added; if lubricant had been consumed, it would have run out by now. So how is it possible for them to continue functioning in this way?
A portion will evaporate, especially lubricants, which evaporate quite rapidly; moreover, processes such as carbonization also consume the grease. The example given by the original poster is indeed quite special; maybe their equipment is of better quality. We have an electric straight grinder (made in Japan) with a rotation speed of 21,000 R/min. It has been in use for several years now, and no special maintenance has been required.

The high temperature of the shaft during rapid rotation causes the grease to evaporate into the air, so it naturally becomes invisible! Therefore, it is necessary to add grease regularly, usually every 1,500 hours or so; do not add too much, as this will cause the bearings to overheat!
It seems that foreign equipment manufacturing technology is indeed better than that of domestic manufacturers. Our equipment is all domestically produced, and lubricant is applied to it regularly on a monthly basis; otherwise, the bearings will start making abnormal noises! !
As long as the motor’s bearings operate under stable conditions and are in an environment with good ventilation, maintenance requirements are generally very low, especially since they are imported.
