Our unit has three FDYD10-40×6 multi-stage centrifugal oil transfer pumps, and their failure rate is astonishingly high. The shortest time required to replace the mechanical seal is 3 days, while on average a major repair is needed every 2 months. The main components that need to be replaced include the balance disk, balance ring, impeller, shaft sleeve, bearings, and mechanical seal – it’s truly a hassle. Could some expert give me some advice? Our application environment is primarily for sewage transmission, with the maximum distance being greater than 1000 meters and less than 1500 meters. Wastewater is somewhat corrosive, but not strongly so. :Q
There is a quality issue with this pump; you must have bought a very cheap product! As the saying goes: you can’t have good quality at a low price!
