Today’s experience made me fully understand why. Why? Because as a technical professional who loves the chemical industry, my loyalty was violated. I joined the company in 2007 and worked hard for two full years; eventually, I was promoted from a technician to a technical supervisor. Despite feeling happy, I also felt aggrieved! At the start of my employment there, my salary was 1,080 yuan, plus a scholarship of 250 yuan based on my educational background. After two years, my salary was increased to 1,650 yuan, with the same 250 yuan scholarship. When I did the math, wow, it’s almost two thousand. The standard of living can finally be raised to a higher level; there’s no need to rely on steamed buns and vegetable soup anymore! Who would have thought?:: :Q A month later, I was told that the education subsidy would no longer be available! ! :o ! ! My goodness! ! I went to talk to the boss. I said, \"Sir, haven’t we established rules for this? How can things be like this?\" Where’s my subsidy? He always replied that a new order had been issued throughout the factory, and no more subsidies would be available for those in management positions or above. Good heavens, this time it’s only me with a bachelor’s degree who is getting this upgrade, only I who am eligible for the education subsidy. I thought to myself: Would they really change the rules just for me? Isn’t that too much? Hahahahaha! ! As a result, I was both amused and frustrated! I can give you a position, but I can’t give you money! ! Haha! 1My goodness! ! Private enterprises! Have you forgotten that from the very beginning of the workshop’s construction, I was on site as well as inside the workshop, dealing with both civil engineering work and installation tasks? From pilot tests to scale-up trials and finally full-scale production, I treated the factory as my home and saw hardship as joy. I was just eager to achieve something significant. Well, you made profits over these two years; but when the economic crisis hit and the market declined, I became the target of criticism. Those who work in technology have all gone through this before, but it’s my first time – I feel so unfair about it! ! What about the brothers? Say something? What should we do? Find a union! ! Hehe! Who made you encounter a crisis! Hmph! This experience taught me a lesson: to jump higher, one must crouch lower! ! Consider it as learning something! The contract will expire in another year! Endure for a year, hide one’s talents! ! Learn more and gain more skills! By then, it won’t be the company that comes to me with demands! !
Please calm down, OP. The current economic situation is tough, so it’s not the companies’ fault. State-owned enterprises have also been cutting salaries, either openly or secretly, or in a disguised form!
It’s temporary; don’t overthink it. If this continues, then we’ll need to think of other options!
Many companies in China, especially private ones, are still operating under a system based on personal authority, with no real institutional constraints in place. Although many organizations have various rules and regulations, how many of them can actually implement them? Even in some state-owned enterprises, certain systems aren’t even subject to the authority of higher-level leaders! Especially in this broader economic context, with economic crises and salary cuts, it’s a blessing from heaven if they don’t force you to quit.
This is a natural weakness of private enterprises. Perhaps the owner didn’t realize that this amount of money means nothing to him, but it hurt the feelings of a key technical employee; many technical professionals lose their jobs in this way. There is a need for visionary private entrepreneurs
Such things happen all the time; there are many people who are dissatisfied with the current situation and feeling wronged. The original poster should perhaps adjust their mindset
“Learn more and gain more skills! By then, it won’t be the company that comes to me with demands! ! ”From this sentence, I can sense your inner world; it’s also what’s on your mind, right? It’s not just private companies; the changes in our company’s salary structure every year are always hard to understand, but we have gotten used to it. This is also something that must be experienced as part of growing up, right? It’s a small thing; as I told you, learn more – knowledge is always a guarantee for survival.
The factory I used to work at was pretty funny too. My grandmother passed away in August. I went back home; I asked for a few days off when my salary was paid, and that amount was deducted from my pay. I said, wasn’t it previously the rule that if someone from my grandfather’s generation passed away, I would be given time off without having my salary deducted? Why is it being deducted now? Someone said: It was changed at the beginning of this year; only those from Dad’s generation are entitled to the benefit of not having their wages deducted. Vomiting blood. . .
I’m still young; improving my skills comes first, with salary being a secondary concern. So don’t focus only on short-term benefits; look to the future.
