Manufacturer: Chongqing Hualin. Brand: Pneumatic all-functional diaphragm control valve. Model: ZSRH-KS. Impression: Excellent sealing performance and fast response speed. Surprisingly, one of the cylinders is leaking air! I wonder if it’s been encountered elsewhere; it must be a coincidence! !
The valves produced by Wuxi Tools perform well in various media, and all types are available.
Manufacturer: FISHER; Brand: Fisher EH series; Model: EHD. Operating conditions: high-temperature, high-pressure steam. What impressed me the most was that the area around the valve was very hot – the valve body appeared red in color – yet it still functioned properly, with excellent sealing and operating performance. It’s definitely not actually red-hot; it’s just the red color that Fe2O3 takes on at high temperatures. It looks pretty impressive – it was the first time I saw something like that, hehe! For the FISHER 667 series, the packing needs to be replaced every 2 years or so, and each replacement costs nearly a thousand yuan. It hurts my heart

Valves from Zhejiang Tingyu Group: Type and model – Parallel double-disc valve (TY-KZ6CF4Y-300LBC). Operation mode: Electrically controlled shutdown. Fault location: FO. Solenoid valve model: ASCO/NFB344EO72; type: ST. Operating conditions: Low pressure, 40°C, pressure drop of 3.2 MPa. The performance is satisfactory, with a fast response time. There is another situation I encountered in the past that I’d like to bring up for discussion and to share my thoughts on it: In the acid regeneration process of a steel plant, there is one acid pipeline, and another pipeline connected to it is used for the flushing water of that acid pipeline; the medium flowing through this desalinated water pipeline is desalinated water, and there is a butterfly valve controlling this desalinated water pipeline. During the testing phase, everything was normal for some time; however, after stopping the system, the inlet valve of the acid pipeline was closed. It was found that there was still flow of fluid behind the acid pipeline valve. At first, it was thought that the valve hadn’t been closed properly or that it was damaged, but upon inspection it was confirmed that the valve was properly closed and undamaged. The flow meter was also found to be functioning normally. If that’s the case, then why is there flow? It was later discovered that the valve for the flushing water had been corroded by acid, and the flow was actually of desalinated water. It turns out that during the design phase, the process medium for this pipeline was demineralized water; therefore, a standard material that does not resist acid corrosion was chosen. As a result, some of the acid present in the acid pipeline seeped into this pipeline and caused corrosion of the valves. Therefore, I personally believe that when choosing the material for valves, it is essential to consider all aspects thoroughly and communicate with the process team to check for any special circumstances. The solenoid pneumatic valves we use are from South Korean company Seuyou.
The Fox valves perform well overall, but the lining of the on/off valve’s ball element has become entangled with it; this is likely due to water remaining inside when we stopped the machine (at minus 5 degrees), which caused freezing.
Apart from the control valves, most of the valves in our equipment are Su valves; I’ve forgotten exactly which company makes them, as we have been using them for over 10 years now. These valves were exported by a Chinese company and then sold to us by foreigners. Since the entire set of equipment is imported, even the small backflow valves were supplied to us by foreigners, while many of the valves themselves are Su valves made in China. The valves perform extremely well; they maintain good performance under high temperatures and pressures, and their sealing quality is excellent. There is a very wide range of valve models available. If any fellow sailor is aware of this situation, could you tell me which specific Su Valve it is? If I’m to say something that impressed me, it’s the fact that after over 10 years, there has been no need to replace the packing; the switch operates easily, it has good sealing properties, and leaks are rare
