What are the communication protocols between DCS and PLCs? List the products for which they are suitable
Communication protocols are not divided into DCS and PLC. The more common ones are MODBUS and Profibus
Industrial Ethernet, ABB, Siemens, Profibus, Siemens PPI, Siemens MPI – I’m not sure if these are correct.
Communication between DCS and PLC is carried out through RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485 communication interfaces, enabling protocol-based communication (host computer connection communication, one-to-one connection communication, and NT connection communication) as well as RS-232 protocol-free communication. Or use a dedicated communication module.
Modbus is the most commonly used.
