Why does the pump inlet use an eccentric large and small head? Is it possible to use a concentric large and small head? Why does the outlet choose a concentric large and small head? Is there any basis for this choice? What kind of pump inlet should be eccentric or large and the top should be flat? What kind of pump should be eccentric or large on the inlet and the head should be flat on the bottom?
This is what the textbook says: 1. When the medium enters the pump from top to bottom, use a flat-bottomed eccentric head installation to prevent liquid bags from appearing. ； 2. When the medium enters the pump from bottom to top, install it with a flat, eccentric and small head to avoid air bags. ； Mainly to prevent cavitation and surge at the pump inlet
Are there any friends who have adequate knowledge in this area? I saw in the installation and storage and transportation departments that the installation pump is low and flat, while the storage and transportation pump is top flat. Why is this?
Generally, an eccentric large or small head with a flat bottom can be used for the inlet. Unless the pump inlet is higher than the liquid level, a flat top is used. I have seen many factories use this method, and the effect is pretty good.
