Now safety is a veto factor: no matter how good a project is, if someone dies, it’s over! Management of activities such as hot work during construction and high-altitude work are among the most important aspects. Next is quality. Ensuring the quality of field equipment is quite challenging, especially in terms of acceptance methods. For example, taking photos – it’s easy in the factory, but it becomes quite troublesome on-site. Therefore, attention must be paid to coordination and the necessary cleanup work.
First, the non-standard drawings must pass inspection; this is a fundamental requirement. Secondly, it is necessary to manufacture strictly in accordance with the drawings and pay attention to safety.
First is safety, which must be ensured, including technical solutions, construction methods, and environmental protection during the process (noise, harmful gases, etc.). Next is quality, including raw materials, welding, manufacturing processes, and monitoring of the implementation process. Another issue is progress; it’s frustrating when requirements set by the client cannot be met. There’s also the construction site, the need to cooperate with the regulatory authorities during inspections, and various relationships with those around us

For custom tank-type equipment, it is recommended to consult the relevant design, construction, and acceptance specifications, which contain specific requirements; For example: 1. In addition, some design firms also include specific requirements in their design drawings for storage tanks, which can be used as a reference!

I think the production volume for over 80 custom-made devices is quite large. No matter who does it, there is no need to address the following issues: drawings, manufacturing processes, quality standards, tools and equipment, processing machinery, workspace, management personnel, and skilled workers. The compatibility of the remaining standard equipment should also be taken into consideration, and the processing schedule must be arranged to coincide with the arrival time of the standard equipment. A full-time safety officer should be assigned on site to strengthen safety management. The processed materials and the produced equipment are stored in an orderly manner, with clear passages.

Clear and accurate drawings, a simple design, and easy construction – these are what truly test non-standard designs.
Can you do mechanical drawing? Using computer-aided graphic design for layout can achieve twice the result with half the effort.
Over 70 pieces of non-standard equipment? Are they containers from the tank area? Be careful: 1. Be familiar with the drawings. Requirements for the drawings (materials, welding). 2. Methods of prefabricated installation (bottom-up method or top-down method). 3. Layout (the layout for the prefabricated installation of equipment is crucial). Good layout can save labor and materials; especially when requesting materials, it is necessary to specify the specifications of the steel plates – one should not simply state how thick the plates are or what their area is. 4. During the welding process, an evaluation of welding quality is carried out first, and once this evaluation is completed, the actual welding work can begin. )
With so many devices that need to be fabricated and installed on-site, it is first necessary to carry out thorough construction planning (including construction methods, techniques, workers, equipment, materials, as well as the layout of the construction site, etc.). Another issue that requires special attention is welding deformation; it is important to use appropriate welding sequences and methods, as well as implement measures to prevent deformation, in order to avoid having to redo work due to welding-induced deformations.

The contractor must prepare organizational plans, schedules, site layouts, cost estimates, etc., organize the arrival of machinery and personnel, carry out welding and flaw detection tasks, and ensure timely delivery. There are many factors that influence production, including those related to the site and its surrounding environment; these all need to be determined in the organizational design. Among them, the timeline set by the client and the costs involved on the part of the contractor are particularly important.
Does on-site fabrication of non-standard components mean installing nozzles on pre-made equipment?
1. First, check whether the drawings are fully annotated (have an experienced technician review them and have the chief engineer sign off); 2. Whether the construction contractor has the necessary qualifications, and whether a construction organization plan and schedule are prepared in advance (to ensure no conflicts with the installation of other equipment). 3.
