How to ensure verticality for a 50-meter tall tower structure?
With such long manholes arranged in a straight line, it is very difficult to ensure verticality; experience in manufacturing and processing is required. A few years ago, our factory manufactured stainless steel components with a diameter of 1200 mm and a thickness of 12 MM, with a length of around 70 meters. To arrange 6 manholes in a straight line, the following steps were followed: 1. Ensure that the diagonals of each plate are equal. After the two sections of the 2.1.8-meter cylinder are joined, check for straightness, and perform this check more frequently as higher sections are added. 3. The manhole should be prepared before the cylinder is assembled, if there is already a manhole there, and then alignment should be checked. 4. How can the verticality of a 50-meter tall tower structure be ensured? The verticality referred to by the original poster is likely the control parameter during installation. During manufacturing, it is necessary to control the straightness of the tower; in accordance with JB/T4710-2005 <<Steel Tower-Type Vessels>>, the straightness should be ≤0.5L/1000+8=0.5*50000/1000+8=33 mm. During on-site installation, a plumb line is lowered from the top of the tower to ensure its verticality.
