Jianghan Steel Pipe has been designated as the pipe material for the eastern section of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project II. Source: Sinopec News Network. March 2, 2009. According to a report from Sinopec News Network, on February 6, more than 50 anti-corrosion steel pipes with a diameter of 1016×21, produced by the Shashi Steel Pipe Factory of Jianghan Oilfield, were successfully delivered to Qiuyuling in Guanlan Town, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. They were sent there at the invitation of the project management team for the West-East Gas Pipeline Project II, in order to participate in the inauguration ceremony for the eastern section of this project held on February 7. The product qualification rate of this steel pipe factory has always remained above 98%. At the new product appraisal meeting for pipes to be used in the construction of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project II, organized by the Science and Technology Management Department of China National Petroleum Corporation and the China Iron and Steel Association, the factory’s X80 grade straight-seam steel pipes with a diameter of 1219×22, as well as X80 grade spiral steel pipes with a diameter of 1219×18.4, passed the product appraisal successfully. On the eve of the Spring Festival, the Western Gas Transmission Line 2 project team informed the steel pipe factory that the straight-seam steel pipes with a diameter of 1016×21 would be used for the opening ceremony. Upon receiving the notice, the factory made thorough arrangements, carefully selected the steel materials, and produced over 50 straight-seam anti-corrosion steel pipes which were delivered to the site of the ceremony.
