Setting of the filters in low-temperature methanol washing. In the earlier Lind process, there were only two filters: one after the pump in the thermal regeneration tower and another before the feed inlet of that tower. In the later improved versions of the process, another filter was added before the E09 heat exchanger. I’m not sure if this is a good idea; please discuss it

The coiled tube is the most prone to contamination among the devices in the system; then why is this filter placed after the coiled tube? ? Are coil heat exchangers not resistant to low temperatures? ?
Filters are generally installed at the inlet of the equipment to prevent debris from accumulating inside and causing blockages. Those used at the outlet of the equipment are rare
I personally think it’s correct! Where a filter is placed depends mainly on what it is used to filter Things like this can be harmful as they will clog the equipment! Those places are the most suitable; the media that the two filters are designed to filter are different! The cold zone is primarily used to filter ammonium sulfide and ammonium carbonate out of methanol! ! The filters in the hot zone are mainly used to remove impurities such as iron sulfide and nickel sulfide from methanol! The mesh sizes of the two filters differ greatly! The materials are also different. I think I’ve posted before about what the size of the mesh is! I just can’t remember it clearly
