Dear well-informed sea friends: How often is the Snakamibon urea annual conference held? Have any been held in the past two years? It is estimated that this annual conference was held by Snecma or its affiliated companies (such as Sandvik) in order to promote new technologies. If it was held recently, are there any latest relevant materials?
The 11th Snakamibon Urea Annual Conference was held just last year; is it held annually?
The annual meeting is usually held once a year, but the exact date is not fixed. Generally, the organizers send a letter to the relevant parties to give them notice. There are many professionals in the urea field here; I hope those who receive any notifications or information can pass it on to everyone.
The annual conference is hosted in turn by the major nitrogen fertilizer companies; it was held in Chongqing last year, and it might be held in the northwest next year.
When and where was it held in 2008?
What is the connection between this conference and the Dutch company Stamicarbon?
May I ask: Was Snakamibon’s urea annual conference held this year? Which domestic marine enthusiast was fortunate enough to participate?
It was held in Chongqing last November as the \"15th National Technical Conference on Large-Scale Urea Production Facilities.\" Dozens of organizations participated in it; it was jointly organized by Sinopec, \"Da Nifei,\" and entities formerly under the Ministry of Chemical Industry, with Chitianhua acting as the organizer. It’s not just STAIMICARBON; it also includes Slam, Japan’s Method C, etc. It takes place every two years, and the agenda includes the presentation of papers, technical exchanges, speeches by the organizers along with updates on developments over the past two years, technology presentations by foreign and local companies, visits to other manufacturing facilities, and of course, time to visit various attractions as well.
It has finally been clarified: this “11th Snakamibon Urea Annual Conference” is not the same as that “15th National Conference on Technology for Large-Scale Urea Plants”! It is understood that the 11th Snackamibon Urea Annual Conference was held from May 19 to 22, 2008, in the town of Nootdorp in the Netherlands, and only a few large fertilizer manufacturers in China were invited to attend this conference.
When and where was it held in 2009? Are there any updates on that?
The next domestic conference on urea is likely to be held in the fall of 2010; Sinopec and the organizing party will issue notifications, so it’s sufficient to keep an eye on those. Papers can also be prepared in advance. The conference takes place every two years, and the next one will be the 16th edition. The domestic conference for medium/small-scale urea production was held in Sanming City, Fujian Province, in 2008, with around 100 participants. It’s not clear when the next such conference will take place; it’s best to get in touch with the “Nitrogen Fertilizer Association”. The SIBA conference is likely to be an international event, and there won’t be many Chinese companies attending; we’ll have to wait and see what information they bring back, which is usually published in magazines.
