The regulations only state that pump rooms should be installed in storage and transportation areas under special geographical conditions. Why isn’t there any requirement regarding whether a pump room is needed for pumps in ordinary process installations?
Whether a pump room is required for a conventional process plant generally depends on two factors: one is whether there are enough pumps, which is the primary criterion for deciding on the need for a pump room； 2. Is it convenient to centralize it from a technical perspective? This condition depends on the investment required in various pumps for the process; some pumps are located far from the process site, and having a pump house increases the head required, which naturally leads to higher investment costs.
