I have a question about line width for everyone.

I’m just starting to learn CAD, and there are some things I don’t understand. Are the “half-width” and “width” used when drawing polylines just two different ways of setting the same value as the “line width” in the “Format” settings? What is the typical line width used in drawings? Is it 0 millimeters? Another issue is what the units are in CAD; for example, when drawing a rectangle with dimensions of 100*200, what does the unit for 100 represent? Thank you first
The second question: when drawing, it’s generally not necessary to set the line width; using the default value is sufficient. Just like with geometric lines, the line width is not taken into account. Next, 100*200; the unit of measurement is mm.
The half-width and width of a polyline refer to the thickness of that polyline. When you enter ‘W’, you will be prompted to enter the width at the starting point; simply enter the desired width there, then press Enter. You will then be asked to enter the width at the ending point – enter the desired width there, and this will result in a trapezoidal-shaped polyline. If you enter 0 for the ending point width, you will get a triangular-shaped polyline. The line width is set according to the requirements of different lines being drawn; for example, contour lines, which are thick solid lines, have a width of 0.6 mm. All units are in mm
