Why is it necessary to heat slowly when installing bearings, but quickly when removing them?
If heating is too rapid during installation, it can cause changes in the material of the bearings, reducing their service life. When removing it, it should be heated quickly; otherwise, both the shaft and the bearings will expand due to heat, making it difficult to remove them.
When installing bearings, a bearing heater is usually used; once the desired temperature is reached, the bearings can be reinstalled. When removing it, acetylene gas is generally used for heating; once a certain temperature is reached, removal must be carried out as quickly as possible to prevent the shaft from expanding.
