Since we are now designing an amplification device, we need to use a grid tower. The original tower uses a grid with angle steel bars. Because it is sometimes very blocked, we hope to change it to a method where two pieces of angle steel face each other. However, this will increase the pressure drop and reduce the weather space, so calculations are required. After consulting the data, the data shows that grid towers are generally made of flat steel bars or strip-shaped holes are punched in steel plates. Therefore, the pressure drop of the grid tower in the data is directly proportional to the thickness of flat steel or steel plates. However, in order to deal with the clogging problem, the existing device uses gratings made of angle steel bars. In this case, I don’t know whether the thickness of the tray should be calculated according to the height of the angle steel bars (I don’t think it is possible, because the original device is calculated this way, and the calculated pressure drop is much greater than the actual pressure drop). If not, I don’t know how to consider the thickness of the grating plates to calculate the tower pressure drop.
