In acid-base neutralization reactions, I want to check from the control room whether the reaction is complete, or whether there is still acid or base present; just as the DCS displays temperature and pressure, it also shows the pH value of the acidity or alkalinity in the reaction system
There are pH meters designed specifically for measuring pH values; they are also a type of instrument, generally classified under the category of analytical instruments
You can just buy an online pH meter.

Of course, they do. We use many online pH analyzers these days, all of which have a standard current output of 4–20 mA, which can be sent to a display or a DCS.
