I’d appreciate some guidance from those who know more about this. I saw it online; one uses the remove command to delete the lines that are selected, but the command line shows “unknown command””
It seems like you need to enter ‘r’. If multiple items are selected, type ‘r’ in the command line; that will cancel the selection of those items. To add an item again, use ‘a’
I tried it; your method doesn’t work. If you want to add it, just select it directly
Hold down the SHIFT key, then use the mouse to select multiple lines – that’s it!

Either method works; by holding down SHIFT and selecting multiple lines, you can select the opposite ones. If you use the “r” command to select objects that you don’t want, you then need to type “a” to continue adding more objects

Regarding the selection issue, you can find very detailed answers by searching for “Selection Set” in ACAD’s help commands! I think holding SHIFT and then clicking on the line that doesn’t need to be selected is the simplest method.
