In one Lindner low-temperature methanol wash unit I have seen, two filters were installed at the pump outlet at the bottom of the 3rd tower, one in use and one as a backup; they needed to be cleaned very rarely; Two filters are installed at the outlet of pump 6 at the bottom of the 4 towers, one in operation and one as a backup; they need to be cleaned frequently, especially during startup ; A filter is installed at another outlet at the bottom of the 4th tower; it is cleaned frequently, mainly to reduce the number of times the filter at the inlet of pump 5 needs to be cleaned ;

Why not install one at the methanol outlet of the separation tank at the inlet of Tower 1? After all, most of the catalyst powder carried in by the shift gas, as well as the vaporized dust and carbon black, will be separated out in V101! Why not set it up? If it’s not set up, the 5 towers will get dirty easily! 【Although switching out 5 towers for cleaning will not affect production】
