I would like to ask: when selecting and purchasing a turbine air compressor, which manufacturer should one turn to – the turbine manufacturer or the compressor manufacturer? Which manufacturers are currently producing turbine air compressors?
Inquire with the host supplier, that is, the compressor manufacturer, for a complete set. After the compressor is designed in accordance with the process requirements, the supplier will select a turbine – of course, the owner’s opinion will also be sought. Actually, it’s similar to the choice of pumps: the pump supplier will provide a matching motor, rather than choosing a motor supplier to provide a matching pump. In this way, the design of the coupling configuration, common base, common oil station, and so on can all be completed at once. There are many turbine manufacturers abroad; Siemens is an excellent choice, and the other traditional manufacturers also have strong performance. Foreign compressors come in multi-axis centrifugal, single-axis centrifugal, and single-axis axial-flow with centrifugal types, with the choice depending on the volume of air required. MAN’s single-axis models are the best; they are adiabatically cooled and belong to the RIK series, with the RIK140 model being suitable for 80,000 cubic feet per minute of air flow. In China, the main manufacturers of large-scale air compressors at present are Shaanxi Gas Turbine and Shenyang Gas Turbine ; The turbines are supplied by Hangzhou Steam Turbine or Siemens Huludao (formerly Jinhua Machinery) – many foreign compressor manufacturers also choose them in order to reduce costs, while utilities such as oil stations are purchased domestically.
