Friends, I have a question: What are the main types of control valves? Are there any restrictions on when it can be used? For example, in what situations should one choose electric power, and in what situations is pneumatic power a better option?
Control valves can be divided into two main categories: 1. On/off valves 2. Control valves. Based on the method of actuation, they are mainly classified into three types: 1. Pneumatic 2. Electric 3. Hydraulic. Pneumatic valves are relatively inexpensive, have fast switching speeds, and a low failure rate; if your application requirements match these characteristics, then pneumatic valves are an excellent choice! (An air supply is required at the site, and a solenoid valve must also be installed to control the direction of the air flow, which adds some complexity.) Electric valves are more expensive, have slower switching speeds, and a higher failure rate, but they can operate as long as there is a power supply available at the site.
