I would like to ask about the following rankings: I am not familiar with the coal chemical industry, but I am interested in sulfur recovery processes within it. Could you please tell me where flash vapor and conversion gas come from, and what is contained in them? Thank you
Vapor: Gas separated under reduced pressure. The gas composition varies in different sections. For example, the gas that results from flash evaporation after pressure-based desulfurization is typically sent to the conversion unit in small nitrogen fertilizer plants. The conversion gas contains a high level of CO2, and the pressure-based desulfurization solution contains a high amount of sodium bicarbonate. Although sodium bicarbonate also has the ability to absorb hydrogen sulfide, its absorption efficiency is not as good as that of sodium carbonate; therefore, a flash tank is installed after the pressure-based desulfurization tower, with the purpose of reducing pressure and thereby releasing CO2. Another example is the NHD decarburization unit: the solution after absorbing CO2 passes through a high-flash tank and a low-flash tank, and the main components of the desorbed gas are nitrogen, hydrogen, and CO2. Shifted gas: This refers to the gas after the shift process. The components of shifted gas as mentioned in small nitrogen fertilizer plants generally include nitrogen, hydrogen, water vapor, CO, CO2, H2S, as well as certain organic sulfur compounds!
Shift gas: As the name implies, it is the gas that comes out of the shift unit; the gas that has undergone shifting is called shift gas. The gas composition includes less CO, more CO2, more H2; if desulfurization is carried out after conversion, there is also a large amount of H2S; trace amounts of methane, trace amounts of argon, trace amounts of oxygen, and so on. Vapor: Vapor is generally gas present in a solution or water; it is the gas that is released from the solution or water as a result of a pressure drop when moving from a device at high pressure to one at low pressure! The gas composition depends mainly on what gases are present in the solution or water, and whether those gases can be released from the water or solution at that pressure. Use this to determine the main components of the flash vapor!
Vaporized gas: Gas that is separated through pressure reduction; for example, the gas separated in a medium-pressure flash tower during purification processes is vaporized gas. Shift gas: It refers to a section following the gasifier, known as the shift section, where carbon dioxide is converted into carbon monoxide.
