What should be the volume of the jacket in a jacketed container? Is it the volume of the jacket cavity itself, or the volume calculated based on the jacket’s diameter? We currently have engineers who support both viewpoints, and they are all experienced professionals; I’m a bit confused about this, as the relevant standards don’t specify it either. I hope to get an authoritative answer, preferably with a source. Thank you

The volume of the jacket refers to the volume of the jacket cavity, which is calculated. 3. The volume calculated for the jacket diameter refers to the volume of the jacket plus the volume of the container. It’s really hard to specify the origin right away; understanding it is enough.
