I encountered a similar issue: the seal was exposed to water and operated for over 20 hours; later it was found that nitrogen also contained water. After taking corrective actions, everything returned to normal, and during the maintenance check half a year later, there were no problems with the seal.
Quickly remove the sealing air pipe fitting of the host and block the host interface. Install a rain cover on the vent pipe, along with a drainage guide ; Blow with clean nitrogen, check to confirm there is no water inside the tube, then connect it to the flange connected to the main unit, and repeat the purging process to ensure a good seal.

The sealing surface of a dry gas seal must absolutely not be exposed to water; even oil is not allowed there. The rear isolation gas is provided to prevent the lubricating oil in the bearing housing from leaking into the dry gas seal.
