Installation of the distillation condenser

There are no special requirements for the installation of static equipment
Haven’t heard that it needs to be tilted? What’s the purpose?
I think you are using a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. If the fluid flows through the shell side, the inclination doesn’t matter much; but if it flows through the tube side, it depends on the location of the outlet. The principle is to ensure that the fluid in the condenser can be completely drained, which requires a certain degree of inclination.
Our tower top condensers are generally tilted at 15 degrees.
An inclination of 15 degrees is sufficient as it makes it difficult to create flow dead zones; however, the requirements for methanol processes aren’t that strict, I guess
Do we still need an inclination for something this short? Just install it vertically
If there is enough space for installation, it is best to install it vertically, as this will result in a much better heat exchange effect
Why is it installed vertically? This way, the heat exchange efficiency is much better
