Simpler. The poster is referring to a dust collector, which should operate under negative pressure; therefore, it’s not gauge pressure – only absolute pressure represents negative pressure. :lol
Negative pressure can certainly be gauge pressure.
You’re right; to be more precise, negative pressure is itself gauge pressure. Therefore, a positive pressure value definitely is not negative pressure :)
