I obtained two types from different channels, one is a colorless and transparent liquid, and the other is a colorless crystal covered with black powder. We found that adding these agents dropwise to the digested sewage can significantly reduce the green color of Cr3+, thereby "effectively" reducing the measured concentration of COD when measuring COD by colorimetry. After our further analysis of this agent (including ion chromatography and ICP), we found that it contains total phosphorus as high as 3000~3500mg/l. Obviously, using this agent will make the eutrophication of water bodies worse! This is a very unethical behavior! !
