The standard for our equipment is GB150, but I have chosen ASME materials such as SA-516 Gr.70. How should the stress values be determined in this case? Should it be based on ASME standards? Are the safety factors of these two systems different?

The allowable stress is determined in accordance with the principles specified in GB150; that is, the strength limit of the corresponding material is divided by the safety factor specified in GB150! !
Is the equipment used domestically? It must be converted using the safety factor of GB150.
The equipment specification is GB150; therefore, calculations should be done according to GB150. Otherwise, the specification would be pointless.
It needs to comply with national standards; or if you follow ASME, you need to reduce the allowable stress
In this case, it is certainly necessary to convert the stress values of ASME materials. For your material with a value of 516.70, the equivalent domestic material is 16MnR; thus, your problem can be resolved
It is recommended to convert the values and then enter them into the SW6 material database to use SW6 for calculations, with the resulting calculations being used for comparison. Generally, there are no issues as long as the pressure is not too high and the temperature is not too high or too low! However, if you lack experience in this area, it is advisable to conduct mechanical property tests to ensure that everything is fine
The allowable stress specified by ASME materials should of course be used for the ASME materials
Based on ASME’s strength limits, the safety factor from GB150 is adopted.
