Please discuss from a technical perspective how to prevent urea particles from ending up in compound (mixed) fertilizers produced using the granulation process
Too many urea pellets were added to the mixed fertilizer. Use a little less urea in the formula, and replace the rest of the nitrogen with substances such as ammonium sulfate or ammonium chloride, then try again.
Completely crush the urea, or crush two-thirds of it. Urea particles are rarely found in finished products in general, and it is also unclear whether granulation is done using steam. Water won’t work.
The appearance of urea particles is mainly caused by insufficient bed temperature during granulation. Measures include raising the temperature of the drying hot air, increasing the temperature of the reactor slurry, and using steam for granulation. Additionally, a partial overgrinding mill for urea pellets is also a good option.
