Explanation of trim in fluids

In our process, the fluid includes trim. I would like to ask everyone what kind of fluid trim represents in chemical production (based on the process and flow diagrams, it seems to be not a specific type of fluid, but rather a category of fluids with certain functions); I really can’t figure out what kind of fluid it is. It should be a fluid in a stable state, a stable state that does not change over time.
Is the poster referring to the trim line in the process flow diagram? If so, it should be translated as auxiliary pipeline
Thank you. I think what ace008 said makes a lot of sense, as the trim values are displayed at various exhaust and waste fluid outlets, or at the ports where instruments are installed. I’m not sure if there are any better suggestions; let’s take a look at what other users have to say: lol
