1. The material of the inlet pipe of the selected safety valve is 316L, while the material of the outlet pipe is CS. Is it necessary to use 316L for the valve body, valve core, valve seat, and valve cover as well? Personally, I think it’s sufficient to use 316L only for the parts that are exposed to flow; I’m not sure if this is correct Also, in a safety valve, which components—the valve body, valve core, valve seat, and valve cover—are the flow-through components?
The choice of material still needs to be determined based on your specific requirements regarding temperature, pressure, and the medium involved. Generally speaking, the valve seat and valve core are definitely flow-through components, while the valve cover usually is not; however, in the event of a leak, it may also become a flow-through component. The valve body is also a flow-through component.
So, it’s not necessary to use 316L for the valve covers; we’ve decided to use 316L for all of them! Thank you
