The Ministry of Environmental Protection has approved the \"Approval Letter on the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for Huaihua Group’s project to produce 1.7 million tons of methanol per year from coal, as well as related olefins.\" This marks the transition of this key \"861\" project in Anhui Province from the preparation stage to the full-scale construction phase. The total investment in this project is 13.6 billion yuan, and the main construction components include key industrial facilities such as coal-to-methanol, methanol-to-olefins (MTP), and polypropylene production plants. Upon completion of the project, it will have an annual methanol production capacity of 1.7 million tons. The main products will include 490,000 tons of polypropylene per year, 15,000 tons of isobutyl oil, 185,000 tons of gasoline, and 41,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas. The by-products will include sulfur, sulfuric acid, etc
