What are the characteristics of internal leakage in the conversion heating furnace tubes, what are the hazards, and can operation continue?

If there is a leak in the coke oven gas or natural gas coils, a positive pressure exists inside the furnace, and hot air or water vapor escapes from the observation ports. Minor leaks can be tolerated; welding is done during major repairs. It’s hard to imagine what would happen if there was a leak in the oxygen coil.
